Sails of Glory -HMS Victory 1765 (1805) Special Ship Pack
Sails of Glory -HMS Victory 1765 (1805) Special Ship Pack

Sail and fight with HMS Victory, Lord Nelson’s Flagship at Trafalgar, the most famous First Rate ship-of the-line in the Royal Navy!

HMS Victory is a three-decks, 104-gun ship of the line, laid down in 1759 and launched in 1765. She is most famous as Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. She was also Keppel's flagship at Ushant, Howe's flagship at Cape Spartel and Jervis's flagship at Cape St Vincent. After 1824 she served as a harbor ship. In 1922 she was moved to a dry dock at Portsmouth, England, and preserved as a museum ship. She is the world's oldest naval ship still in commission.

Three-deck First Rates were the prestige ships of the English Navy, carefully and lavishly built. Rarely commissioned in peace-time, and preserved with expensive overhauls and rebuilding, these ships served as flagships as their strength made them the strongest units of the line of battle. Each 100-gun ship had an established complement of 850 men in addition to extras assigned when used as flagships.

The ship base, ship card and ship log are printed on two sides -the game data of a second version of the “HMS Victory 1765 (1783)” is printed on the back, allowing the players to decide the most historically appropriate version for a scenario. This special pack also includes and Captain Cards for Richard Howe and Horatio Nelson, two of the most famous commanders of the ship, to represent their specific and unique skills.

Designed to be used with the tactical ship-to-ship game system created by Andrea Angiolino and Andrea Mainini, each Sails of Glory® Ship Pack is a ready-to-play model, painted and assembled, 100% compatible with any other Sails of Glory game product.

In each pack you will find all you need to play with the ship: a special base with gaming stats, a ship log and a specific deck of maneuver cards.

Contains:
* One 1/1000 scale model
* Special base with game stats
* 1 ship log
* 1 ship card
* Special deck of maneuver cards and ability cards, including Captain Cards for Richard Howe and Horatio Nelson

Sails of Glory -HMS Zealous 1785 British S.O.L Ship Pack
Sails of Glory -HMS Zealous 1785 British S.O.L Ship Pack

The Bellona Class is considered a prototype for the iconic 74-gun ships of the latter part of the 18th century. The Arrogant, Ramillies, Egmont, and Elizabeth classes were almost identical in size, layout, and structure, and had only slight variations in the shape of the underwater hull. The Bellona Class had a designed crew of 550 and was armed with 28 32-Pounder guns in the lower deck, 28 18-Pounder guns in the upper deck and 18 9-Pounder guns in the quarterdeck and in the forecastle.

HMS Zealous was an Edgar class ship of the line. Similarly to the Bellona class, the Edgar class was one of the designs by Thomas Slade, using a slightly modified version of the original Arrogant design. Launched on June, 25th 1785, HMS Zealous served in a number of battles of the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars – notably the Battle of the Nile, where she engaged the French ship Guerriere, helping to force her surrender. This ship pack can also be used to represent the British Bellona Class ship-of-the-line “HMS Superb 1760”.

Designed to be used with the tactical ship-to-ship game system created by Andrea Angiolino and Andrea Mainini, each Sails of Glory™ Ship Pack is a ready-to-play model, painted and assembled, 100% compatible with any other Sails of Glory game product.

In each pack you will find all you need to play with the ship: a special base with gaming stats, a ship log and a specific deck of maneuver cards.
